The marque is obvious but I also need the model, year and coachbuilder for the point.....

It looks like a Bugatti Type 40, of about 1929, with a Weymann fabric body.

It is of course a Bugatti but not a Type 40.
It isn't a Weymann body (although it may have been built under a Weymann licence) and the date is a handful of years out......

Yes, I thought that '29 was too new, but I was influenced by some similar reference pictures of the Weymann body.  Trying to sort out the Weymann licensees will be difficult, as there were many.  Even though your picture shows a right hand drive, I'm hoping the coachbuilder isn't British, as there were three dozen licensees in the UK alone.  Since I only know of one other licensee in France, so l'll go for: 1924 Bugatti Type 30 by Pourtout.

It is a Type 30 and you are slightly too old with the year.

I was only pointing out that it may have been by a Weymann licensee but I now think that's not the case.
It's not by Pourtout but the coachwork is French and by an obscure firm/individual...
I'll LOCK it for you to have another guess.....

No and Vizcaya was a design patent holder - rather like Weymann....

I apologize for not finding more obscure coachbuilders.  The last three I have posted were totally unknown to me, and thus very obscure in my thinking.  I'm sorry I'm such a novice with coachbuilders.  Nevertheless, I keep looking for pictures of Bugattis with fabric bodies (most of which don't identify the coachbuilder), or, alternately, names of French body builders known to use fabric bodies.  My next try will be: 1925 Bugatti Type 30 by Chavet.

No need to apologize........it's all part of the challenge here at AP.
Chavet is indeed relatively obscure but I'm afraid it's not by them.

The coachbuilder or individual who constructed this body was unknown to me shortly before I posted it.
Therefore it's not easy to find it unless you happen to find the exact source of the photo.
