Is it a Duesenberg II SJ La Grande?
It's not an original Duesenberg but a 'neoclassic' based on that marque.
The original Duesenberg was produced from 1920 to 1937 and there were two attempts to revive the marque in 1947 and 1966.
Both of these failed......

The obsession with the Duesenberg marque saw several firms offering replicas/lookalikes between 1959 until recently and my sources indicate no less than five firms that used the name Duesenberg in the manufacture of these 'neoclassics'.
There were other firms who used variations of the Duesenberg name and the puzzle car is one of these.

LOCKED for you for another guess as to what this car was named and its builder.

I had already guessed it was a replica. The odd thing is that the usual spare wheel is missing on the nearside. Another decent quality replica (some of them are dire) is the Duesenberg II Royalton by Elite Heritage Motors.

Is the puzzle one of those?

I agree that some were pretty dire and I don't know if that applies to the puzzle car.
It's not the Duesenberg II though......
