No points for the cars... they are mostly reposts... but one point if you tell me what is the wrong car here... and why...
...and... of course... there are maybe more then one solution... but I want only one specific answer... (e.g. I know that they are all from one coachbuilder except one but this is not the solution... ;) )

That car is RHD and the picture is correct... and this is not the solution I'm sorry...
2. Bat has retractable lights
4. the only 12 cylinder car
5. no wire wheels
Is it a visible solution or "beyond" ?

It's not a visible solution... you have to know the cars, and a little of their story...

The solution cannot be found looking at the pictures... you have to know the cars!
A little help... maybe to find the solution of ths puzzle is better to find first what the five cars have in common...
What do experts think about that?
the Pininfarina / Ferrari Superfast, because it is the only one with a twelve cylinder engine

The five cars have in common that there were more than one design version built of each on the same "theme" name.
All were numbered versions except car #3 the 1957 Alfa Romeo Boano Coupe Pininfarina,
is it superflow?-no.1

You are on the right track, this is what they have in common... but the second part is wrong...
Locked for you to find the wrong car and why!
Is it the second car (bat)-because it,s the only car with hide-away headlamps?,,where the other,s appear stationary?

No... and the puzzle is locked for WayneB!
It is difficult (for me) to find out without doubt what the third car is.
It may be a 1956 Alfa Romeo 2000 Pininfarina?

You said they are all part of a "theme"... if you think about that, and about the other cars of every "theme" maybe you can find the solution...
Locked until your next reply...
Thanks for giving me further time to try and solve this puzzle, the more I think about it the more confused I get over the possible answer(s)!
I will start by listing the mystery cars properly in the order they are shown:-
#1 1956 Alfa Romeo 6C Superflow I by Pininfarina (the first of a design study series of 4 cars)
#2 1953 Alfa Romeo BAT 5 by Bertone (the first of a design series study of 3 cars)
#3 1957 Alfa Romeo Sesiere by Pininfarina (the first of a design study of 2 cars)
#4 1962 Ferrari 400 SuperAmerica Superfast IV (the forth of a design series of a total of 25 cars built)
#5 1962 Fiat 2300 Coupe Speciale by Pininfarina (the first of a design study series of 5 cars built)
My conclusion is that the "odd one out " is #4 the Ferrari as the others are all the first built in their respective design series.
