Thank You, Kind Sir:

Lots of Green cars on the Forum lately, most of which elude me.  Got lucky this time.

It does make one wonder in 20-25 years time where automobiles are going to be made in the world.
No one would have ever thought China would outproduce the US 20 years ago and now India, Brasil, several countries in SouthEast Asia and Africa are trying to build up automotive industries with varying degrees of success.

An ever changing world we live in.

Indeed.  I've been saying for a number of years that the West's days in charge are now on the decline.
As everything improves in the East, be it education, wealth or whatever, they will inexorably rise and there are vast resources of talent just waiting to be tapped.  The future is always something to look forward to!

Of course, our stupid politicians haven't a clue what's going on, which is why they keep harping on about the 'economic recovery'.  There ain't one coming mate!  The emphasis has moved and we've sat on our backsides and watched it happen.  I can't remember the last time I bought some household item that wasn't Made in China...  What we actually need to do is 're-adjust to our new status in the world order'!

I think enough about the subject, Norman, that I am going to start a thread in the General Discussion sub-forum on the future of the automotive industry.

I spent 33 years in the automotive industry at all levels in 4 countries and in the 20 years since, it has really changed and I think, as you, it is going to change a lot more.
