Could this be my second point with Kathe?
For sure! It is a Kathe-bodied 1930 Essex. The "Hudson Essex Motors Company m.b.H." assembled Essex cars in Berlin-Spandau from 1927 to 1933.

No more Kathe bodies from me for a while.  :D

A favour if I may ask one.

My main research interest is American cars exported/manufactured/assembled in countries outside the US.

I have never heard of or read of "Hudson-Essex Motors GMBH" nor the coachbuilder Kathe and I find nothing on Google, either the US or German sites.

Is it possible, so I may further expand my reference library, to either link something about this company/ies  or PM me with further information??

And, my congratulations to 4popoid for his tenacity.  I also spent almost three hours on this puzzle and came up with nothing.
Bill

Cheers

Thanks for any assistance, Wendax.

In the meantime, I did find information on the coachbuilder Kathe but no connection to any American automobiles, all German.
So, now I just lack the Hudson-Essex story.
