This is another those cars that has appeared somewhere on AP before but not as its own puzzle.
So, what is it, by whom, from when and where - for 1 point?:

Searching for another car on the web I came across several Fissore bodied cars. And many of them have these particular side inlets just like the puzzle car, so my best guess would be a Fissore design (see attached example). Not Italian I believe, so I think it is a DKW by Fissore. If correct, still need to figure out model, year etc.

Perhaps the quiz car lost its rear wings and got a fast-back line during a photo-shop battle?

You're right and if I'd seen your answer I would have locked it for you, but I'm afraid you're out of luck because...

Mekubb can have the point.  I never would have tried, but it was just waiting there.  The puzzle car came up on a couple threads with just DKW and Fissore Googled.   :-[

Don't worry.  You got in with the full answer first so get the point.
I doubt whether mekubb will be upset; he'll be getting plenty more!
