I saw this nice car at the Düsseldorf Meilenwerk in 2007. It is a 1948 Ermini 1100 Corsa, chassis # 1301, with Fiat engine. It started its life with an open wheeled Siluro body by Motto. After an accident in the 1959 Targa Florio it was rebodied by Morelli in a more elegant shape with complete fenders (while the Motto badges on the body were retained).

Thanks for that.  I'll change the heading.
I thought those headlights in the fairings looked later than 1948; that explains why!
