What's this and from when does it date, for 1 point?:

the only reference I have is a company classified from Road&Track marketplace, may 1973 issue, that I found recently on the magazine, so it'd do for it or, eventually, 1972 :) ready to accept defeat, though :)

It's not from 1972, but I'll keep it locked for you to have another go.
The answer is out there and it's not hard to find..

Actually I had it as 1982 but I can't find where I got that from so maybe it isn't right and you are!
I'll call it solved as you've got the right car.

Marauder & Co., Potomac IL were in business from 1980 so I think 1982 is more likely than 1972/73.....

scanned the entire pace of the advertisement I mentioned, magazine date in the low right corner :) (sorry removed the scan I posted a while ago, too big and cut too much, date missing)

or, maybe, the company was resurrected in 1982, not unlikely for a small cars manufacturer  :)

Either way, the thread title is incorrect: the car is not a Chevron B16, it is a copy of a Chevron made by Marauder

Maybe I'll change it, though everyone knows what is meant. The Chevron B16 was neither VW-based nor a kit-car..
