This little car was called the Airway, from 1949-1950. After the war a lot of companies started up to try and cash in on the pent-up demand for any kind of car, and many of them thought that the mini-car would be popular.

It wasn't.

That's right.
They actuallly made 2 though; the other one has been featured here before.
So this one is the Airway ********.

In one magazine article that appeared in 1949, it is called the "Vicinity Car" . . . but after researching what little other Airway material is on the web, it doesn't seem that anyone other than the magazine article author called it that. Could be, though. You're right, they did make two (which I didn't know), a coupe and a sedan. Although the puzzle car looks like a coupe, one article (using the same photo you did) calls this one the sedan. Do you have a photo of the coupe?  I just wonder how they differ.

Here's one of the few actual ads to appear for the car:

600 pounds - 600 bucks . . . such a deal!

This one is the coupé, which is what I was looking for.

The sedan is here:

I saw that Vicinity reference too but I have no idea if it's right or wrong!

Wow, that sedan is a LOT different! Makes a lot more sense that your current puzzle car was the coupe.
