All right then I won't - because it's not!
But American it is ?
Is it a modified Cunningham?
Very quiet on AP today....
Nota bene - 6 downdraft carbs, meaning 6 cyl or 12 cyl engine.
I still don't know what it is though....

No, it isn't a Cunningham.
Assuming my previous observation was correct, is it Jaguar powered ?
It would have to be a "Vee" block, with the carbs centrally placed. So is it an older chassis fitted with a Jaguar V12 engine ?
It's a 1956 Kurtis 500. I can't find any reference to the power unit.

You've answered some of your own questions there as it is indeed described as a 1956 Kurtis 500 in most posts featuring it.
The owner, Thomas R. Coady, actually describes it as a Kurtis MKK. It's powered by a 392 cu in Chrysler Hemi with 6 downdraught Stromberg carbs and was built to the order of a Fred K Sutton, who instructed a body-builder named Lyons to give it a Ferrari 500-style front and Bertone BAT car style rear. It's made in hand-formed aluminium.
Since I didn't ask for any of this you've got your point anyway!
