Dumb as it might seem, that radiator grille reminds me of the Jowett Bradford van.

It's not a Jowett Bradford van!
(Nor a Jowett of any other kind either..)

I must be bored - some of my posts are not thought through.

That radiator looks quite far forward. Is this a special based on a BSA FWD frame ?

It's probably a special built by a gifted amateur who had connections with the trade - it wears trade plates. I'll almost certainly not solve it.

I reckon it's built on a mundane chassis. Let's go for.... oh, Morris ?

It is a home-built special, yes, and does use proprietary chassis and mechanicals, but not Morris!

My eyes are dim, my legs are weak..... But I reckon I can see a letter A on the bonnet mascot.  Maybe the owner's name, but it might be an Alvis ?

No, I'm afraid it's not an Alvis either!

Standard ?

..'fraid not!

As a matter of fact I suppose I misled you here.
Although it's not based on a Standard as such there is however a Standard connection.

I'll therefore lock this for you for your next reply.
