Title: Solved - NEH 2793: Design sketch for VW SP2 by Marcio Piancastelli (or Jose Vicente Martins?)

The 1st prototype, differered from the production version, in slight areas...most notably...the lack of air intake openings on the prototype...that were then incooperated into the production version.

You've found the right car.
I have the name of the designer I think was responsible for this sketch though.
Can you give me his name (hopefully I'm right..)?

Rudolf Leiding-project leader, Senor Schiemann-design team leader, Jose Vicente Martins-designer,Jorge Oba-designer,Marcio Piancastelli-designer. You expecting me to say Luigi Segre from Carrozzeria Ghia??? As, I understand it...Jose Vicente Martins..studied under luigi Segre in 1962. I sure hope this is good enough to solve this puzzle. I cant go back in time and trace every single detail.

I believed Marcio Piancastelli was responsible for this particular sketch but to tell you the truth I'm not really sure of it so we'll call it solved!
