1954 Wolfgang Denzel-Porsche Spyder 1500. Made in 1963 looks to me....based on a Devin-Porsche "D" body. Perhaps meant to replicate a 550 Porsche.

Yes, that's the car.
It was for sale by California Classics, who simply described it as a 1963 Denzel-Porsche Spyder but with no explanation about who built it.  Further investigation brought it up on another site where it was said to have been based on a 1954 Porsche re-bodied in 1963.
