It's a 1951 Chevrolet Styline Deluxe that was developed (rather than built) over a 25 year span. It is customized pretty extensively and is powered by a Jaguar 4.2 liter DOHC 6 cylinder engine, adapted to a Camaro 5-speed transmision. The name of the constructor is Chuck Zeglin.

Yes!  Apparently it was built as a salt flats racer - and is still unfinished.
That rear trunk is apparently from a Buick.

Thanks, I remembered this car from an event pic in a magazine...may have been Speed Week at Bonneville.

Speaking of the dry lake, I wonder how our resident Speedaholic is doing on the salt and behind the camera...
