That's it, yes, although my info said it was originally a 166 Inter rather than a Spyder.
I left the Ferrari badges as I thought it was so glaringly obvious it was a Ferrari anyway it just wasn't worth the effort to remove them.
It was just a matter of finding out that this Ferrari is not what it appears to be, as it is based on a 1948 166, rebuilt 1955/7 by Scaglietti as you say into this real beauty looking more like a 500 Mondial or later 250 TR; and it is indeed said to be the world's oldest un-restored Ferrari, although I'm sure there will be plenty come out of the woodwork to argue with that one!

Not necessary, no. I looked at the museum a few days ago and it wasn't there but I only mentioned it in the thread today without checking again!
