Pretty sure that car started out as a 1963 Marcos Fastback GT before it got the Escort world cup arches, Dino style rear window and the Alfa taillights.

Correct - it started out as a Marcos, so I'll lock it for you to see if you can find out who did this to it..

Think this may be it(cant find a photo though)

1963 Marcos Fastback GT reg no: 999THY

Fitted with an Alfa Romeo 1600cc engine.

Modified with a "Notchback" roof

Now in Sweden (since 1986) so I presume its last British owner Christopher Bish from Birmingham did the modifications.

No, I'm afraid that's not it!
Car is still in the UK.

Odd that, Marcos only built 18 fastback GT's, and about 10 still survive.

Strange that possibly 2 were converted to that Dino style rear window.

I wonder if it's the same car that's come back again then; I'll try to find out but I'm a bit short of time over the next few days so please be patient!
In the meantime I'll lock the puzzle for you.

Is the owner name you have for this car Roly Morris from Northhampton ?

It says he installed a Alfa Romeo 1750 twincam and 5 speed gearbox into a Marcos Fastback GT with a wrap around tunneled rear window?

Yes, indeed, that's the guy.
I rather thought he had done the body mods but maybe he's just the current owner.  I haven't had chance to check.
You got the right car anyway so we'll call it solved.
Well done.

The photos look like they are taken in the late '70's early '80's (to me anyways) and the mods on the car
kinda match up with that period (World Cup Escort wheel arches and banded steel wheels)

Wouldn't be surprised if that stuff wasn't bought from Albert Green or Graham West at Motoplus on the Hollyhead Road

Showing my age here :(
