For one point, tell us which mass-produced cars contributed to this custom, and what nick-name it carries.

Moving upward!  I may not be around until the weekend to answer any questions...

Wendax

Looks American. PT Cruiser-based?

sixtee5cuda

Not from any of the Americas, and no connection with the PT Cruiser or Chrysler Corp.

And now the lovely front view of this custom

You wanna be the man, you gotta Name That Car!

sixtee5cuda

There is a Vauxhall Cavalier involved.  There may be another Vauxhall involved, but not certain.

LOCKED for Otto Puzzell to provide the name of this car.

(I would ask for the name of the builder, but I don't have that information.)

Otto Puzzell

I recognized only the greenhouse - I can't find anything else about it.

Please unlock.  :)

That´s all I know...

It seems to be a 3 litre Vauxhall Calibra, but as for more details words (and enthusiasm) fail me ::)
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

nicanary

This car can be found on numerous modding/custom car websites, but I simply can't find any reference to the nickname. It's an Opel Calibra base, apparently, (even though it's got British plates) and I reckon the motor could be an Opel Senator if it's registered as a 3-litre (wasn't the Calibra 2.0 engined?).
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

sixtee5cuda

Besides the missing nickname, there seems to be very little info out there about this car.

(I was wrong to say "Cavalier", it does of course have a Calibra roof section.  Vauxhall or Opel, the difference isn't important)

Time for the BH?

I am simply looking for the name of the car.  It is named after a crustacean, which most would call an insect.

Perhaps it's like the stationmaster in the Punch cartoon who said:
"cats is 'dogs' and rabbits is 'dogs' but this 'ere tortoise is an insect. . . "

so is it known as "tortoise" ;D

Is it Woodlouse? Otherwise known as Woodlice or in Ireland, Slater. That's an insect which is technically a crustacean.

And the point goes to Nicanary.

The Woodlouse was based on an Opel Omega chassis, used a Calibra roof and was on the cover of Street Machine at one time.
