Quite so, although I believe it was still called an AWZ at that time..

Post by: Hiawatha on November 26, 2013, 07:27:14 AM: I believe you are quite right, the picture of your puzzle predates the one of the brochure and was only AWZ, the name AWZ Trabant was used on the pre production models in 1957 and Trabant alone from series production in 1958. Apparently the prototype in the picture was officialy presented to the upper echelons of the DDR in Octoer 1956.

500 cc maybe? Was the P70 700 cc?
Don't believe there was ever a P500 or a P700..

Post by: Wendax on November 27, 2013, 02:44:31 AM: I wouldn't be surprised if the "500" logo is a non-original add-on. It seems to be part of the "Trabant 500" sign at the rear lid of the production P50.
