What's this, by whom, from when - for 1 point?:

I have only found one very small reference to this car but the source is usually reliable.
It is said to be a BMW 335 with coach work by Wendler.
The date was a bit uncertain but 1947 was mentioned.
Edit: Another usually reliable source indicates the build year was 1950.

It could be that the base car was from 1947 and it only gained this body in 1950?

The base car, the BMW 335 was only built from 1939 to 1941, so it definitely is a rebody. It is one of four BMW 335 (three coupes and a convertible) built for a Mr. Eberle. We had the only surviving coupe before: http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=18568
