My records indicate that the unusual radiator looks like the Thompson Brothers three wheel Cyclecar of cca 1922. Further research  suggests photo seems from the 1920 M.C.C. London to Edinburgh Trial, with a similar car behind..

Excellent answer. These are two TB cyclecars competing , as you say, in the 1920 London-Edinburgh Trial.  The cars were usually fitted with JAP 8/10 hp engines.
