Hi guys, what is that?
I'm asking you 'cause I don't know!
Nothing to guees here. Maybe it would be better to rename the pics if they tell you everything. Mr.Shorey won´t mind, but...
OK it was written, but this is not a quiz...the only info and pics I've on this car is in that name...I'm looking for some more...Sorey won't help....
No problem. :-X
If you´ve got more information - perfect!
I don´t know more, to be honest. The wheelbase is ultra-short. Maybe it´s based upon a small car, too. Maybe I´m totally wrong...
I'm looking for more info and pictures but searching john bond or le mans there are a lot of item but nothig useful... :-[
There may be a chance to find somthing when you know this fact:
John R. Bond was the longtime editor and publisher of Road & Track magazine, so this could have been a R+T-special project...
Good trail, thank you!
Well, our american friends and guessers will know more, I´m sure!
I found it......well I'll give you the point, grobmotorix even if I do too deserve one....
Second one for today and it's another easy one - for 1 point:

Repost.. ;)
Thought is very odd that this one hadn't featured before but I Searched using all the names I have for it and found nothing.... It must have some more!
Can it be merged then please?
1960 Bond LeMans
I posted this as "Johnson's Victress Coupe Le Mans 1959" which is how it is described on various websites.
Doesn't seem to bear much relation to how it was described when featured earlier...
No wonder it didn't show up in my Search!
Can you identify this car, engine and maker.
1960 Victress by Alton Johnson, powered by a Corvette engine
That's right...and quick.
Re-posted again so merged again...!

I'm puzzled, is the subject of this puzzle:
(a) An artist's impression of the design for a Le Mans Coupe commissioned in 1960 by John R. Bond of Road and Track?
or is it:
(b) An actual car, the Corvette-engined Victress built by Alton Johnson in 1959?
I believe these are two different Victress Lemans coupes. One by Road and Track, one by Alton Johnson
Dear Friends
The picture in the beginning of this puzzle is invisible. Can somebody fix this
Someone who probably can solve the questions about this car is Geoff Hacker alias Mr Forgotten Fibreglass.
He's already written on the subject. Interestingly, Alton Johnson was involved in both cars (and likely other Victress LeMans coupes that may have been built).
"Alton Johnson was an Art center student and Victress employee who worked on his LeMans Coupe on the off hours at Victress. The car mold and bodies were actually built by Marvin Horton, Ed Monegan, and Alton Johnson. Alton built his car from the first body taken from the mold"
I'm not sure why the pictures are not visible. I can see them OK.

I can't see them either, except by clicking on the caption and downloading them, when they appear in Windows Photo Viewer. As mentioned elsewhere, this problem affects about 30 or 40 pct of the pictures here now and I think must be a problem with the AP software, although why it affects some people and not others is a mystery..
They all show for me, using Firefox on a basic spec PC.

Everything showed for me too, up until about 2 weeks ago. Now they don't, and I know others on here have the same problem.
