I know the origin of the drivetrain, but its none of the cars I thought it may be.

Was it ever built or does it just exist as an illustration?

It's the MG Wasp proposal!
It was a proposal from the early 1960s to build a mid-engined MG using the 11/1300 drivetrain, but as far as I know it came to nothing and not even a prototype was built.
The project was featured in Sports Car Graphic February 1964.

Bubenator has been logged in as recently as last week, but has not replied to posts in his threads, or other methods of attempted contact, in more than two months.

After no reply from Bubenator to multiple PM's and e-mails by two admins, I'm declaring this one solved and moving it to the appropriate section.
