It looks as this car was provided for a specific use, is it a Cab?
Yes, this was mostly used as a taxi
Is it perhaps an AGA?
no
German?
no
European?
yes
Unic taxi from about 1920/1922?
not French so not a Unic
I've noticed that rear pneus are bigger than front ones; this may mean that it comes from a state where lots of streets were dusty and muddy yet; so I think to eastern Europe. Am I right or wrong?
more like Central Europe
Poland?
Laurin & Klement taxi from about 1920?
not PL or CZ (so not a Laurin-Klement)
osterreich?
Puch taxi from about 1920?
It is from Austria, but not a Puch - much more obscure
I have discovered the Austrian firm Avis Flugzeug- und Autowerke, which I understand made automobiles from 1921 to 1928, and which were sometimes used as taxis. I can find no pictures or further information, but I will guess that the puzzle car is an: Avis taxi from about 1923.
Avis was on Autopuzzles before:

So this one is not an Avis
Perl taxi from about 1924?
Nesselsdorf?
not a Perl or a Nesselsdorf
Perhaps a E.S.A., from 1922-3?
This is an ESA:
http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=21145.15
The puzzle car is not an ESA :)
WAF taxi from about 1922?
No
Grofri (Gross & Friedmann) taxi from 1921/1924? Not the 1924-1927 Grofri, built under license from Amilcar (as previously seen on Autopuzzles), but a previous model of their own design.
no

Fuchs?
no
Barth-und Kohler?
no
Eos?

Recordmobil?
It's a Dietrich & Urban from 1914.
It is locked for Joao. It is almost correct. It is not a Dietrich & Urban but a Di... & Urban. And the year can be anything between 1914-1925
Please, unlock it. ;)
Thanks.

Are you sure, Pal? Krackowizer has it as Dietrich & Urban, too.
I stand corrected. Joao gets the point. I had it Ditmar&Urban, but that is obviously a mistake
Thank you!
I often look up obscure marques after they've been solved, just to add to my personal knowledge. Georgano has no reference to Dietrich and Urban, Ditmar and Urban, or any combination of the names. Strange indeed, unless it was a one-off.
It was not a one-off, about a hundred were produced between 1914-1925.

You can find it in the German wikipedia (with source mentioned).
though they say it was only made in 1914
