Doug Haigh in his Ford 10 Special 1952 ?

(I'm sorry, but I cannot find any images of these cars, so I'm just running through any I can find that fit the criteria !)

It is a Ford 10 special, a bit younger than 1952 and not Don Haigh

I've found 12 different Ford 1172 Specials which raced in New Zealand between 1953 and 1956, by which time they were being easily beaten by imported machinery.

Where do I start? How about the 1955 GBS/Ford of Ian Buchanan ?

I can't find it. :-[

It looks very similar to John McMillan's Jackson Special, but that was powered by a Ford V8. Maybe it was first fitted with a smaller engine ?

Roy Watson in 1954 racing near Havelock on a grass track, according to what I could find. Think the picture in my source is the same :)

No need to apologise. I was simply guessing, which doesn't usually get you anywhere on Autopuzzles. Another interesting site for me to remember.
