Craig Gillingham

This was called the Wolseley First Aid Engine. Built in 1905 and was 24hp. At the time Wolseley were made in Birmingham, England.

British sense of humour set aside, I obviously can't doubt your source, but I have this same vehicle in a 1908 book, not in English, that says it was made in another country under a different name. Under what name and in which country could my book have it?

nicanary

Looks like a Wolseley gill-tube radiator to me. Herbert Austin left employment (although still a director) in 1905, so it wouldn't carry his name, and surely it wasn't built in Australia ? Wolseley had set up shop in England back in the 19th century.

The country is not Australia and sorry I should have mentioned

Craig Gillingham

You could unlock this one, I can't find any more info.

I think Craig Gillingham deserves one point for his answer, but I won't send this to the Solved Puzzles until somebody tells me in which other country and under what name, this same vehicle could have been made, for one point.
OK it's unlocked.

I want the pros to tell me which in which country and under what name could this same vehicle have been made, for one point.

ropat53

One easy pro point, the book from where I took this picture says it was made in another country and under another name.

Well the obvious guess would be the Italian Wolsit.
However the Wolsit cars were the later Wolseley-Siddeley type, so I am not at all sure my guess is worth posting!
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

ropat53

Yes Wolsit, according to the 1908 Italian book it was made at the Legnano factory and was a novelty.
