Yes it resumed production after WWI. It eventually became a brand of a slightly better known company, that made very unusual engines.
is this slightly better known company, Gnome & Rhone?
No not Gnome & Rhone. It wasn't an engine factory, it was a car manufacturer that made cars with a VERY unusual engine.
It is a 1908 Stabilia. The mother company you refer to was Gobron with its valveless six-cylinder engine with 12 opposed pistons.
Yes it is a 1908 Stabilia with a 2200 cc four-cylinder engine and underslung chassis.
In 1907 M. Vrad founded Automobiles Stabilia in Neuilly-sur-Seine, 1911 the company was renamed in Giraldy et Vrard and moved to Neuilly -sur-Seine Asnieres. 1920 it was re-renamed Vrard et Cie and as from 1927 it was the small model of Gobron, in 1930 the last model they built, had a straight eight cylinder engine. By 1927, Gobron was producing about 250 vehicles a year, but by 1930 it was down to two, and the company was forced to file for bankruptcy.
