 1964 Panhard PL17 Break?

targhediferro

Yes, but sorry,  too obvious for a look. I need the name of the coachbuilder.

one of the prototypes of the Panhard 17 break. It was build by the the supposed contractor, Panauto Italia -that had ties to the former Cemsa Caproni airplane factory. Although some prototypes were built with different fronts, ends, interiors and trims finally Panhard decided to produce the car themselves in the Orleans factory. They had to stop production of the 17 Cabriolet to make space for this.

This is the early version of the long-wheelbase break. it lost the ugly front of the first version that kept the original wheelbase. the back is in more or less same shape as produced. the Fiat 1800/2300 lights were replaced by polyester parts with three round marechal lights. in the first year of production the lock of the 5th door was still italian. in 64 it was replaced by a french lock.

All right....it's the break out of italian Panauto. A point for you.
