For a point, what is the year, make and model of this car?

An extra point if you can tell me the coach builder, but it is quite difficult.

Craig Gillingham

No, not from the UK.

No, but your on the right track. The chassis is of a similar build quality.

QuoteBallot?

Yes, LOCKED for you to tell me the model (easy) and year.

targhediferro

It doesn't look very big, so I suppose it is a 2 LTS from 1928-9.

Craig Gillingham

You have to drop one letter from the model name. The chassis is much older than it looks.

targhediferro

So a 2 LT from 1922?

Craig Gillingham

No, it's the other model. A fraction older.

targhediferro

Ballot 2LS 1921. I must suppose that this car has been re-bodied.

Craig Gillingham

That's it. A point for you. It was re-bodied in Australia in the 30's by Callow & Sadler, from Sydney. I asked for the coachbuilder, but I don't think many people would have much chance of finding them. The only reference to the company that I could find on the internet was one obscure newspaper article, and even then they're not mentioned as coach builders. The car has been featured in a couple of Australian magazines, but unless someone had access to those, you'd have trouble knowing who built the body.
