Make, model, year and coachbuilder for a point.
Up!
American ?
This is not my era, but a wild guess would be a Lancia Dilambda of about 1930 used as a Hotel Limousine or maybe even a Taxi. Body could be Pininfarina.
Bill
Not American; Not a Lancia; Not Pininfarina;
If I may ask, is it at least Italian?
Bill
Yes, italian.
Fiat
I am with Cuda here, closest I can get is a Fiat 525 but I cannot get a photo with the same louvres in the side of the engine hood.
Looks to be more commercial to me than private. Maybe even a hearse.
Bill
I am having the same problem you are Bill. It looks like a Fiat, although I think a bit earlier than a 525, but I can't locate those slanted louvers (some Ansaldos have slanted louvers, but the radiator doesn't look right). Since the name of a coachbuilder is required, I'll assume that the unique louvers are a product of the coachbuilder, and call the puzzle car a: 1926 Fiat 512 by Fissore.
I could say it is not a Fiat 525 and neither a Fiat 521, but I want to be honest and so I say...it is not a Fiat at all. It is neither an hearse.
Ansaldo?
Possibly Ansaldo Tipo 22.
No lock, I have no clue beyond that observation, question open.
Bill
Yes, it is an Ansaldo type 22. No lock for 4popoid because of Bill overcoming, no lock for Bill because of his request. So, add coachbuilder and year and you have a point.
Ansaldo Tipo 22 from 1929, body by Castagna. I believe the term Limousine-Dorsay was added to the name as well
Just to stay in the running, I'll say: 1928 Ansaldo Tipo 22 by Fissore.
Not Castagna and not Fissore.
1928 Ansaldo Tipo 22 by Boneschi?
Pinin farina ?
Not Boneschi and not Pinin Farina...I like that you didn't write Pininfarina (that's right only after 1966, when the Presindent of Republic, ufficially modified the surname of Giuseppe Farina).

Carrozzeria Pinin Farina actually became Carrozzeria Pininfarina in 1961 I believe. Sergio changed the family name officially in 1966 to match the name of his Carrozzeria!
Oh yes, you're completely right!
Montescani ?
Not Montescani.
Viotti?
Neither Viotti.
Bertone ?
Zagato?
Not Bertone and not Zagato, sorry.
1928 Ansaldo Tipo 22 by Stabilimenti Farina?
Not a Farina product.
1928 Ansaldo Tipo 22 by Touring?
On second thought, I think it might be a: 1928 Ansaldo Tipo 22 by Cesare Sala of Milano.
That's right! It is a Cesare Sala limousine, from 1932. The picture was shot in 1938 when the car was used as a taxi, in front of Carlo Felice theathre, in Genoa. A point for you.
