Make, model, year and coachbuilder and what "race" did it take part?
Ready for experts.
Is it Princess Grace standing in the Monaco Grand Prix course car?
No, she isn't.
But she is standing in a car, right? ;)
oh yes, she's standing in a car, but she's not a Princess and not from Montecarlo. ;D
Is the "race" a bicycle race ?
not a bycicle race.
Any connection with the Rome Olympics 1960 ?
No connection, the picture was shot some years before.
Monviso Fiat 1100/103?
The race could be the Rally del Cinema...
This is Mara Berni and Felice Zappulla taking part in the 1955 Rally del Cinema. The rally was held for 3 years from 1955 to 1957, but according to the caption this was the second running (!). The car is a Fiat 1900, but I cannot find any reference to the coachbuilder.
All right, locked for you to dig about the coachbuilder.
Pininfarina ?
not Pininfarina.
Ghia ?
Not the one I have, but I have some doubt about my source; I will accept both the name I have and any other with prove.
I can't find any source, and I am guessing by the style. I will try once more, and then you can unlock - Allemano?
As I said before, I've got some doubt about my source, in particular after Iluvatar's answer, because the front of this car is really similar to Monviso 1100/103 tv. So I've decided to give a point to Iluvatar who discovered the name of the race. If nobody will give me a proved and more affordable answer, I'll consider the quiz solved by Iluvatar. I apologize with anyone who has been damaged. Unlocked.
I agree. The source of my information was the Publifoto site, and since this is not for car enthusiasts I guess the information they provide may not be too accurate. They state in their caption that the car is a Fiat 1900 but it looks smaller than that, and the style is absolutely right for the 1100 Monviso.
;D 24 hours for any further replay.
As I told I'm convinced that Iluvatar replay is more affordable than my source, so I give him the point.
:)
