Post by: Wendax on October 20, 2013, 03:39:51 AM
Two cars, one manufacturer. I only know details of the chassis shown.

For one point, please respond and identify the manufacturer.

August Braun?
They are still around, the easy Pro points.  :)
The pictures show two cars by August Braun. The chassis is a Braun Motorwagen Nr. 27 Type 30 HP.

thanks for the point. Re 4popoid question: Spitz first teamed up with the Gräf brothers to build cars after his designs. It worked very well and then the business was expanded to Hungary. After a while, he thought it would be nice to build the cars in Hungary for the Hungarian market. He contracted Magyar Waggon es Gepgyar (Hungarian Railway Carriage and Machine Factory) in Gyor, which was set up by Austrian enterpreneurs a few years prior to that to build his cars. Unfortunately this deal violated his earlier agreement with the Graf brothers. When they got wind of the Hungarian operations, they sued Spitz and bankrupted him. But the Hungarian factory got a taste in automobile manufacturing and this led to the creation of Raba cars later.
