I believe this one to be an Alvis-Straussler armored car MK I built by Manfried Weiss in Hungary in 1933.
This one had a "transportation" body of mild steel which I gather made it easier to ship it to the UK for trials.
There were several "Marks" and I believe this formed the basis for the Csaba armored car later found in the Hungarian Army.
Below, another photo of the car.

That's the car, except that at this stage it is just a Straussler AC1. Alvis joined in 1936 in order to produce the AC3.
One point for you...
... and for me the unexpected feeling of posting a Hungarian car that Pal didn't recognize. ;)

Thanks for the point. The car was featured in an article about the whole series and was titled "Alvis Straussler" so I missed the date when Alvis joined in the effort.
As we find every day, the Web and even some of the better histories are not always 100% accurate or clear when it comes to autos and trucks.
Perhaps Pal was Christmas Shopping ;) ;).

I have to admit I did not pay much attention to Weiss Manfred military vehicles. The reason for that is simple: the historical research has been tainted by forged documents by some so-called historians in Hungary.
So I know that Miklos Straussler (also known as Nicholas Straussler) built the AC1 in 1932 at the Weiss Manfred factory. He later emigrated to the UK and joined forces with Adler.
So yeah, I missed this one

One more period photo showing the temporary body made from plywood in Hungary
