Title: Solved: Wendax 791 - BAL Salamander
Post by: Wendax on January 24, 2013, 02:53:15 AM
I don't know much about it, just the technical base, so it might be an easy Rookie point.

For one point, please respond and identify this car.

This special is known as the BAL Salamander. Despite the wheels, it's based on Mini mechinicals. The 1000cc engine is behind a lid in the pointed tail. It was beautifully made by an enthusiast who sold it last year.
I should have bought it...

You are right. I just knew about the BAL name and the Austin rear engine. The current seller (in Germany) says that according to the papers it has an Austin A 40 engine.

One more point for you.
