On the other hand, the name of the bus comprises of better known parts.

Such as wheel, roof, engine ?
One name relating to the technical base, one describing the vehicle itself.

pguillem

Is it based on a tractor (Hürlimann, for example)?

Wendax

pguillem

Is the name of the technical base the name of the company who built this bus ?

Allrad Panoramabus ?

pguillem

The name relating to the technical base is a model name, the one describing the vehicle itself is a Swiss synonym for bus.

Nothing electric there, but "Car" is the second part of the puzzle vehicle's name.

pguillem

Could it be the Renault Reisecar bodied by Hess ?

Wendax

Now you are up to something. Find out which Renault model it is based on, and you have the name: XXXXXXX-Car (Don't count the Xs). Locked for you.

I think Hesscar is just a travel company that used this bus, no connection to the coachbuilder Hess there.

Wendax

Not Galion-Car. Two more tries before I will unlock.

pguillem

Wendax

No, one last try within the lock.

pguillem

The Hesscar site describes it as being bought in 1956, so it couldn't be an Estafette, which was issued in 1959.  Maybe Voltigeur-Car ?

Wendax

Sorry, no. You may keep on guessing.

Unlocked!
