To solve this puzzle you have to identify this baby-car and to tell me, about this picture,  when and  what it was used for.

kwgibbs

Its an Eshelman, and Richard Nixon with a little friend,Im guessing this photo was used as advertising the car?

targhediferro

Yes the car is an Eshelman...can you tell me it's name?
Not, this picture was not taken to advertise the car.
Locked for you for two more attempts.

kwgibbs

was it Golden Eagle?and also to promote march of dimes?

targhediferro

The name I have is different, but yes, It was for the March of Dime...that was intended to raise money for.....?

kwgibbs

was it called Eshelman Golden eagle Safety Car?

targhediferro

No, its name (almost what is in the caption of my picture) is a three letter one.

Hiawatha

kwgibbs

was it called SWI?

targhediferro

One more guess, than I must unlock.

kwgibbs

Bill Murray

You beat me too, but nobody mentioned it was a Polio fund raising campaign

Bill Murray

In this country, the March of Dimes was the name of the donor's campaign at that time for combatting Polio.

I'm sorry, I shouldn't have posted, I've only just noticed it hasn't been unlocked, fortunately it had already been correctly answered.

targhediferro

Correct, this is an Eshelman CSC (Child Sport Car) from 1955, and the picture was taken during the March of Dime (to combat Polio) of that year. A point for kwgibbs. Tomorrow I'll add the unmodified picture.

An added bit of trivia: the man servicing the car was then US Vice President Richard M Nixon (the picture was taken on Jan 19, 1955), who would later become famous for Checkers, tape recorders, and more.  :)
You wanna be the man, you gotta Name That Car!
