There is a very similar body on an Alfa Romeo 8C2300, apparently, and according to Simon Moore's book. However, I don't have a daughter I can sell in order to buy a copy.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

So is it a 6C1750?

I misread the website on which I thought I'd found the answer. This is the car which had been identified as possibly an 8C2300, but it's not the same.

It is Alfa Romeo Tipo 8C-2300 Corto Spider Corsa supercharged chassis # 2111027; originally a Scuderia Ferrari Zagato Spider which was 2nd in the 1932 24 hrs of Spa-Francorchamps. It later had a closed Zagato body and then the open style.

You found the car!
I will merge the 2 puzzles, but I'm going to add also a picture of the Berlinetta body by Zagato.
If the coachbuilder of this car was not known back then, I think it will remain unknown.
I thought it could be Vanden Plas, ( http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=17916.msg176589#msg176589 ) but it was just an idea.

And today with replica of first Zagato Spider body.
