I don't know whether this little racer has a name of its own, but I just want to know its base.

For one point, please respond and identify the base of this car.

How about a Morris 10 or 12 of around 1938 as the donor car?
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

It seems to be road-registered. Is it maybe based on a Simca 8 ?

Yes, locked for you to have a guess at the base model.

Not a six-cylinder. One more try before I unlock.

It is not the 5 CV (LR 49), but you are close.

Unlocked.

I need a model name and the LR-number.

I think you mean the right one, but you have to switch a number and a letter, and I need the model name too.

Yes, now this point is yours. It seems to be a quite recently built special, powered by a 950 cc Reliant engine.

One more point for you.

nicanary

I think the Reliant engine is now one of the range accepted by the 750 Register for power units, since the original Austin 7hp motors are getting a bit old and scarce. As the Rosengart is in effect a licensed Austin, maybe the French owner intends to use the car in 750MC races ?
