Post by: sixtee5cuda on December 10, 2012, 12:46:22 PM
What is the name of this "truck" and what is it based upon?

I'll give a second point if you can tell me who built it.

Chassis was not made in the Americas, so no GM, no G-Body

Toyota Van?  (Also known as a whole buncha other names like: Toyota Space Cruiser, Toyota Tarago, MasterAce and so on)?

Yes, based on a Toyota Van!  After answering questions for a while, it occurred to me that this might actually be a 4WD Toyota Van.  But that would be crazy.

I figured the Porsche and Subaru questions, assumed the engine was in the rear.  If not there, it would probably have to be under the driver seat, like in a Toyota Van.

LOCKED for RayTheRat to figure out what name this truck was given.

Go ahead and unlock it.  I've got other things on my plate and they have to take precedence.  Yeah, I thought I was retired, too.   ;)

And a point goes to pnegyesi, for finishing the puzzle.  (I gave the point for finding the name of the truck.  I am marking this Solved, as I doubt the name of the builder will be found.)

Some puzzles just jump out at you.  VW on a Toyota chassis, named Surreal?  Why not?
