For one point, specify who built this car, and what name it was given.

Make a note, it is time for the Experts to figure this one out.

Is it Carl Caspar's Fabulous Fantom T-Touring?

LOCKED for Zerk.

This car was created by Carl Casper.  I didn't know this, but it is currently known as the "Fabulous Fantom".  I am looking for the previous name assigned to the car.

This is actually "David Cassidy's Touring T", a star car of the early '70s, I think. The "Fabulous Fantom" is a heavily revamped version, so not quite the same car. This situation reminds me of the many iterations of the "Li'l Coffin".

Zerk gets a point for providing the correct answer.

Once you mentioned, I looked at a lot of Fabulous Fantom images.  The only differences I could find are, the frame was painted blue, and the radiator shell was completely repainted.  And of course, "David Cassidy" was removed from the grill (not shown in the puzzle pic).

That's most of it. To me, the graphics on the Fantom look heavyhanded and unattractive, while the David Cassidy car looks first rate, maybe even done by Himsl, hmslf ;D The individual header pipes run out to the end on the Cassidy car, and into a collector on the Fantom.
