Who built this car, what name did he give it, and what car did he base it upon?

sixtee5cuda

Up!  After a short visit with the rookie(s), this one is ready for the experts.

wingroad

Do not know the car but is that a Leyland A-Series Engine? So therefore British ?

sixtee5cuda

It is based on a British car.  I believe it is an A-Series engine.

wingroad

Looks like a cut and shut Austin Metro

sixtee5cuda

#5
LOCKED for Wingroad.

It is a chopped up Austin (Rover) Metro.  For the point, who built it, and what did he call it?

sixtee5cuda

(Fell between the cracks)

UNLOCKED due to lack of interest

sixtee5cuda

Any more ideas, before I move this up to the Pro's?

sixtee5cuda

sixtee5cuda

This car is Really Narrow

Wendax

I would have called it Narrover!  :D

kwgibbs

Is it called Elfin, the little Rover?

sixtee5cuda

The name is not Elfin.

wingroad

Is the name of it on the roof in which case it starts with T and ends car

kwgibbs

Was this car ,the only one made?

sixtee5cuda

As far as I know, only one was made.

Yes, the name is ". . . . . t car"  (# of . s may or may not be correct)

kwgibbs

is it called midget car?

sixtee5cuda

kwgibbs

was it built narrow for a specific purpose?

Djetset

Was this Metro modified to meet with Dutch regulations for disabled motorists?
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

sixtee5cuda

As far as I can tell, built narrow for fun, not to meet any regulations.

This is the 'Bullet Car' - designed (loosely) for use in congested London streets, the idea being that two narrow cars can fit in one regular size lane... the plan is amazingly flawed, and the car is a total lash-up. It's been sat in an industrial estate in Durrington for several years, and every now and then the creator attempts to sell it on ebay for a ludicrous amount of money.

sixtee5cuda

LOCKED for Barrett to tell us who built this Bullet.

barrett

I believe it was John Wood. And it turns out he actually spelled it 'Bullit' not 'Bullet'

sixtee5cuda

Barrett provides the complete answer, and earns the point.

My notes said Bullit as well.  It is hard to read on the rear hatch or roof.
