For one point, provide the year, make, model, and coachbuilder of this stylish sedan

sixtee5cuda

Is this car so anonymous, the Experts are going to ignore it?

I suppose it is an Imperia 15.9 hp from 1914-5. It looks like a British coachbuilder's job.

sixtee5cuda

Not an Imperia, slightly newer.  The coachbuilder was British.

sixtee5cuda

The car was built in 1923, not by Hamshaw

I gave you an answer I had in my mind for another quiz :-[, of course the car isn't from 1914...
Is it an Armstrong-Siddeley?

Paul Jaray

I found the same background in at least a dozen of different pics of different coachbuilders...it has to be a quite known location!
But it won't help, I know...

João

It´s a 1924 Delage DI Saloon by Barker.

Paul Jaray

Aaargh! I look into Georgano's Coachbuilders and in Walker's A-Z book...and it was on Georgano's new Encyclopedia, pag.187 !

I have awarded a point to João, as he provided the correct make and coachbuilder.  It is a 1923 Delage GL Saloon by Barker.

Paul Jaray is absolutely correct, as to the source of the image.  I was browsing through the book and noticed, this auto was not pictured anywhere on the webs.

It's unbelievable how, after you know the correct answer, you can find a lot of clues in the picture that make you thinking: "How could I miss to see it!"...in this case I think that the radiator design should have got Delage up to my mind.
