Shape of front fenders  and door handles suggest Alfa 1900?

targhediferro

Yes, looked for 24 hours.

Not Monterosa but good guess because Monterosa too realized a station wagon on 1900 base.

Was it made by an established coachbuilder?

targhediferro

Yes and No;  I found some  pictures with a related history, that speaks about an obscure coachbuilder who realized this wagon and some other cars, perhaps everyone "one-off"...but I have no prove about it.
So the point is for who's able to report the name of the coachbuilder, as he seems to be.
Any further information would be nice.

I've found some pictures in a 1900 website: the car is called 1900 Giardiniera by Paris-Nizza. Never heard about this coachbuilder

"Young"?

Did you mean "...an Italian collector was trying to buy it"?!
