What is this and from when ?

ropat53

Looks like a recent photo of a special with polished aluminium body, very difficult to identify, they are all very alike, the wheels definitely look English is it Lagonda based? Is or was the car on sale in Europe, probably Holland or Germany?

mekubb

No Lagonda involvement, and it could be that the car was on sale in Europe (not sure when though)

nicanary

1929 Alvis Silver Eagle supercharged special.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

It is English, Bentley?

mekubb

English yes, Bentley no...

Is it a recent build, or does it date from the 1928/35 period ?

Is it the 1936 Siddeley Special Six ?

(I racked my brain to think of large-engined British cars of the period which hadn't been mentioned, and then remembered this - the pictures I have seen show it as BRG in colour. I think it may be the same car)

From the 1928/35 period indeed

Is it the 1936 Siddeley Special Six ?
You are very close, Siddeley is right, 1936 is not. And I have another model name. Locked for you
