A Stoewer for sure:

I believe this car is an R 130 from 1932-1933, which according to my references were the two years of manufacture.

According to my source it isn't neither a 130 nor a 140, the year 1933 is right though. Can't lock it for 2 people, so see who is the fastest in replying...

Well it looks like a Stoewer 140, but I suppose that it might be a 1933 Stoewer 150, although I didn't think that they came out until 1934.

I too seem to have some conflicting information in my references.
Just to cover all the bases, I have found a few photos of the R150 model stated as being from 1933-34.

I have also been quite interested in this puzzle and if we take the year 1933 as correct, the car can only be a R140 with the 1.4 engine (1932/1933) or a R 140 with the later 1.5 engine (1933/1934). The R150 with the 1.5 engine  was produced in 1933/1934 and the R180 with the 1.8 engine was produced only in 1935 (300 units) and had a longer wheelbase.
I am not here to score a point, just trying to clarify if possible.

I must admit that I'm a bit confused after reading all replies. My source clearly states that the picture is from 1933 and the car most probably a Stoewer 180, so I assumed this was correct. But checking the internet the 180 was indeed not produced as early as 1935 and in 1933 only the 140 was on the market.

So I think that my source is not fully right and assuming that 1933 is right, it must be a Stoewer 140. So I will award the point to 4popoid (sorry Bill...) and call it solved.

It is most probably a Stoewer R 140 from 1933/1934. It looks like the pillarless fourdoor saloon introduced in February, 1933, which was built until the end of 1934 when a more streamlined body came out. It could be as well the R 150 from 1934 with a slightly stronger engine, as there were no external differences to the R 140.

The Stoewer R 180 had skirted fenders and a less curved bottomline of the windshield:
