Volvo "Snabbe" L420, 120HP, V8, 5,6 to. truck

Volvo had several names on their small truck presented in 1956. But the most common everyday name was Volvo Snabbe, but it was also called L420/430. Due to its gasoline V8 it earned its nickname Snabbe quite well ("Fast"). The V8 was actually made for a Volvo luxury car very similar to Kaiser. The car was called Philip, but it wasn´t developed further than into a prototype, now on display in the Volvo museum i in Gothenburg.

The truck later developed into Trygge ("Safe") and had en diesel engine.
