Title: Who's that girl #567- Suzy Parker and the 1953 Ford X-100
Post by: Ray B. on August 05, 2013, 10:17:17 AM
Should I leave to Otto Puzzell  only the pleasure of posting all those Cars & Dolls puzzles?
I believe not.

So, who's that alluring girl on the telephone, and with which particular automobile can she be associated?
The more well-known those girls are (and she is), the more cars have they been photographed with. But the car you're requested to find is a very, very rare and special one.

Skinnier perhaps.
In fact, she's about eight years older than Ann-Margret.

Wow! That was fast and amazing. The images of her with that car aren't easy to find, I believe.

Amazing and quick, for sure.

Check out the Magazine Rack thread, just past the halfway point in this page...

Dammit!
That not's where I got these pics, for sure, but I'd have been well inspired to have a glimpse at this thread. I never did ( afraid of staying there too long...?)
At least we can admit that the winner is a fine physiognomist: Suzy has a very different look on my puzzles picture (looking much more like a model from the sixties, natural hairdo etc), and on those color photo, where you could confuse her with a Hollywood red hair actress, Rhonda Fleming or Arlene Dahl.

Not a really great physiognomist, Ray, just a little better than average memory for a person of my advanced age.  Remember that I was a teenager when Suzy was in her prime, so picking her out was relatively easy.  However, associating her with a particular car, as she was associated with several marques, was a bit more difficult.  Fortunately Googling "Suzy Parker" led to the Paris Match cover (I wasn't aware of Otto's cited link), and the rest is history.  Not really so fast as it might seem either, as I have been sitting on this one since it was posted in the rookies, just waiting to see if it would make it to the Pro level.
