Not Maserati but Stanguellini is right. Engine is indeed 1100 cc but from what make ? And I need to know the right year and the coach builder

Quite a few years older than 1947 (despite its aerodinamic design !), Stanguellini-Fiat 1100 is right. The coach builder is not Bertone, much more obscure...If you have the year right, I'll lock it for you to find out the coach builder

1938???. Is the coachbuilder torricelli

mekubb

Yes Torricelli is the coach builder, well found. You're 2 years out with the right year, should be 1940, but as you have come so far I will award you the point.

I suppose it's correct 1938; the car is described in several sites and book as Stanguellini 1100 sport Nazionale, 1938.  1940 is the year of its best racing score. Its plate was RE-8122

Thanks for your input. According to my source it is 1940 and a Stanguellini-Fiat. But it happens all the time that sources are not always fully reliable, it's impossible to check that on beforehand. So that's why I agreed with 1938 as the right year

mekubb

Just checked my source, and it's indeed a 1940 race and a 1938 car. My Italian is not so good apparently  :D
