Anything to do with the manufacturer of Kohler generators?
Not generators..

HINT: What do you need when you swap the engine?
A hoist? Hence a manufacturer whose core business is hoists.
Duncan Rollo

The more you learn, the more you realise how little you know.

Into the Black Hole...

Two points awaiting!

Hints time:

Hint#1 - try to google a specific product "engine a*****r kit" to find out the company in question.
Hint#2 - the name of this car is not original. It was used in a model name of a concept car for an iconic sportscar.

Anything in the Yanmar or AR's field?

Not Yanmar.
I don't know what is AR.

Are we talking about Acme Adapters, a manufacturer of engine adapter kits?

...a bit vague but let's try...something very well known like Mythos?

Arunas

Not Mythos.

Try to figure out an iconic sportscar and then to take a look at it's concept versions of the past.

Paul Jaray

Like Gt90? But since you wrote 'versions' more like Mako Shark?

Locked for you!

You are centimeters away from the answer which is a single word...

I hope 'Mako' is still within centimeters...

Hooraay!! You've just scored second point!  :applause: :applause: :applause:

This MAKO appeared in the advertisement of Kennedy adapter kits. Even if the numberplate better read as "NAKO", I tend to believe that MAKO is what is actually written. An unmodified photo is coming later...

Adding photos and moving to solved!
