According to Geogarno 2600 Hispano Suiza cars were made in Paris compared to 6000 in Barcelona so the French connection is significant.

Alfa Romeo RL Torpedo by Castagna around 1924
Not by Castagna....
Well, I do believe Castagna is right... see attached pic taken from a well-known Alfa Romeo book
I believe this is a mistake. Recently information indicates a different carrozzeria.
Well, of course a (well-known) book can be wrong but then I am curious if your source is reliable. I will try with Zagato, but need to see proof if that's right
Not by Zagato. Obscure coachbuilder.
Clue : Also bodied a Fiat and an Isotta Fraschini.

Ah, I had completely overlooked your previous reference to Isota Fraschini. While my only reference with a picture indicates that this is a: 1926 Alfa Romeo RL SS by Zagato, since you have already ruled out Zagato I must assume your reference is correct. Using your reminder regarding Isota Fraschini, I have discovered another obscure (at least to me) two name carrozzeria which did an Isotta Fraschini, and thus might be the creator of the mystery Alfa. Is the answer that you are looking for a: 1926 Alfa Romeo RL SS by Carrozzeria Maraga & Tattini?
Almost 4popoid! It´s ok anyway..it´s Tattini & Maraga, from Rome.
Congratulations!
