Looks like a fiberglass body over some maybe truck-ish underpinnings. Maybe a re-bodied Crosley?

It is Crosley-based. Can you name it?

Though Crosley-based, this car was built and sold - albeit in small numbers - under another name. That's what we're looking for.

Dredging the depths here - is it a Keeley Crosley?

Not a Keeley Crosley.

Was it the Wilro Scorpion, one of the very first GRP-bodied cars in USA?

Got it!

The Panda was produced around 1955, with a Crosley engine as one of it's options. It was produced in Kansas City , MO by Small Cars Inc.

According to 9/3/98 Old Cars the company was started in 1955 by Finn Hudson, but only 1 prototype was made in 1956. The last time the prototype was seen was in 1974 in a private collection. It is likely still around.

And that all for one point.

You need to post the picture as a jpg file Facel, otherwise it cannot be seen.
I have tried to change it into a jpg but have been unable to.
Can you repost it please?

Thanks

Merged!  ;)
(it was an old one but revived few months ago)

When merging new puzzles with old, please:

1.: Consider leaving the re-posts as an active Rookie puzzle; it can be merged with the old puzzle once solved by a Rookie, or after it languishes for a long enough time to be deemed unsolvable by Rookies.

2.: Move the newly merged topic to the current solved thread, thereby re-setting the re-post clock. Remember, if it's more than a year old, a Rookie-section re-post is OK.

Thank you.  :)

This one is actually a re-post but from a very long time ago and using a different picture.
So rookies - 1 point if you can tell me what it is?

Remember - solving puzzles using 'Google Search by Image' is BANNED on AutoPuzzles!

Since that original picture disappeared, I guess that's academic. :)

Indeed it is the Crosley-engined Panda.  From about 1951 I believe.
Happy Christmas!
